Burhan Öçal Captivates the Audience at the Tribute to the Masters Night

At the 31st edition of the Tribute to the Masters project, launched by Büyükçekmece Municipality to honour artists who have made significant contributions to the world of culture and the arts, world-renowned percussion master Burhan Öçal met with art lovers.

 

As part of the 27th International Istanbul Büyükçekmece Culture and Art Festival, the special evening was held at the Büyükçekmece Atatürk Cultural Centre, where the celebrated artist took the stage with the Trakya All Stars, delivering an unforgettable concert.

 

The Master of Percussion Receives a Standing Ovation

 

The evening highlighted Burhan Öçal’s remarkable artistic journey as one of the world's leading percussionists, whose universal musical language and outstanding achievements have successfully represented Türkiye on international stages. Bringing together mastery, experience, and the unifying power of music, the concert offered an exceptional performance. Blending diverse musical traditions with his distinctive style, Burhan Öçal captivated the audience with his carefully selected repertoire and outstanding stage presence, earning prolonged standing ovations.

 

At the end of the programme, Acting Mayor of Büyükçekmece Hakan Çebi, 24th Term CHP Member of Parliament Süleyman Çelebi, and Büyükçekmece Municipality Coordinator H. Gürhan Ozanoğlu presented Burhan Öçal with a commemorative plaque in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the arts.
